When telehealth isn't appropriate

If you're experiencing any of the following, please see your regular GP in person or attend your nearest Emergency Department instead of using Medibyte:

  • • Chest pain or shortness of breath
  • • Persistent high fever (above 39°C for 3+ days)
  • • Severe or worsening pain
  • • Confusion, drowsiness, or reduced consciousness
  • • Repeated vomiting or signs of dehydration
  • • Blood in vomit, stool, urine or phlegm
  • • New neurological symptoms (weakness, numbness, facial drooping, slurred speech)
  • • Thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or causing harm to others
  • • Any rapid deterioration or symptom that feels serious
  • • A work-related injury (this requires a Certificate of Capacity from an in-person GP)

In an emergency, call 000 immediately. Medibyte is not for emergency care.

Feel better. Send the email. Rest up.

Most certificates land in your inbox within a few hours.
